Beaulieu’s Simply Japanese rally, now in its third year, will be taking place on Sunday 3rd August in the picturesque parkland of the National Motor Museum.

Owners of all Japanese marque cars are welcome to drive their vehicles into the Beaulieu attraction to join the event and put their vehicles on display for other enthusiasts to admire. Both individual and club entries will be accepted - clubs already confirmed to attend include mx5driver.com, Nissan Sportz, Dorset Japanese Car Club, Juke Owners’ Club and Subaru Legacy Owners’ Club.

Throughout the day, Beaulieu’s visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite Japanese vehicle on display at the event, in the People’s Choice Awards. The owner of the vehicle that attracts the most votes will receive a Beaulieu Trophy in an afternoon presentation ceremony and lead a cavalcade of Japanese vehicles through the grounds.

Event admission includes entry to the whole Beaulieu attraction, featuring the National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House and gardens.

For entrants arriving in a Japanese vehicle and joining the event on the Beaulieu parkland, entry prices are adult £10 and child £5. Simply Japanese, Beaulieu - 4th August

Warm sunshine greeted the second Simply Japanese, held in the grounds of the National Motor Museum, with over 350 Japanese cars motoring into Beaulieu to put on a fantastic show. The display in the Beaulieu parkland spanned a wide range of marques including Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Mitsubish, Lexus and Datsun, from classics to the latest models and some in concours condition.

Beaulieu’s Event’s Manager, Judith Maddox, said: “We were delighted with the turnout for this event with a great range of vehicles and were especially pleased to have a good number of clubs attending including the Mazda RX-8, Lexus and Nissan Owners’ Clubs, Nissan Sportz and Nissan Skyline Club. The lovely weather also meant that participants could enjoy a relaxing day with an opportunity to visit the whole Beaulieu attraction as well as take part in the event.”


Visitors to Beaulieu on the day, were invited to vote for their favourite vehicle in the People’s Choice Awards and the winner was Dean Cooper from Croydon, Surrey, with his white Toyota Starlet. Dean has owned the car for five years and spent three years restoring it, with the help of a friend. Dean was presented with a Beaulieu trophy and an Autoglym Professional Valet Pack.


The Toyota led a cavalcade of the most voted for vehicles around the attraction grounds, showing off some of the finest examples of the marques.


Simply Japanese is one of the most popular of Beaulieu’s calendar of Simply events which has expanded to include a wide variety of themes, covering a range of makes and models.

Simply Japanese - Sunday 4th August at Beaulieu

Following on from the great success of last year’s event, Beaulieu’s Simply Japanese rally will be making a welcome return on Sunday 4th August. Owners of all types of Japanese marque cars can join the event, whatever the age, make and model of vehicle, from Nissan, Honda and Toyota family cars to sporty Suzukis and Mazdas.

Prepare to see some stunning vehicle designs and colourful artwork amongst the hundreds of Japanese marque vehicles on display. Take the opportunity to get chatting with other like-minded enthusiasts, and enjoy a great day out at the Beaulieu attraction. See over 250 vehicles on show in the National Motor Museum, from F1 racers to Land Speed Record Breakers and don’t miss BOND IN MOTION, the world’s largest ever exhibition of original James Bond film vehicles. Whilst Bond is known for his love of the very British manufacturer, Aston Martin, both he and villain, Patrice, rode Honda bikes in the opening chase sequence for the latest Bond film SKYFALL. Their two Honda CRF250R motorcycles are now on display in the exhibition.

Enter World of Top Gear to see genuine vehicles created by presenters Jeremy, Richard and James in their challenges on the BBC television show. You can also enjoy strolling through the beautiful gardens to Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538 and 13th century Beaulieu Abbey, or you can explore the grounds by hopping onboard the high-level Monorail or open-topped bus.

Simply Japanese - A Great Day Out For All Japanese Motoring Enthusiasts Sunday 5th August 2012

On Sunday 5th August, all owners of Japanese vehicles have an opportunity to display their motors in the picturesque grounds of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu for Simply Japanese, another in Beaulieu’s popular range of Simply rallies.



Last year, Beaulieu welcomed around 400 Mazdas for its inaugural, and highly successful, Simply Mazda event. In response to demand, this year Simply Mazda has evolved into Simply Japanese, broadening the range of vehicles that can join the rally.

All Japanese marques, of any age or model, are welcome, from Honda, Nissan and Toyota, to Lexus, Subaru and Mazda. Owners can display their vehicles in the parkland, take part in the event activities, and enjoy all the delights of the Beaulieu attraction, including the National Motor Museum’s exciting BOND IN MOTION exhibition, which showcases 50 original vehicles from the James Bond films and behind-the-scenes footage from some of the most thrilling vehicle stunt sequences.

Throughout the day visitors will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite vehicle on display in the People’s Choice Awards. In the afternoon a cavalcade of the most popular vehicles will take place around the Beaulieu attraction, and the winning vehicle and runner up will be announced in a prize-giving ceremony. The winning vehicle owner will receive a coveted special 60th anniversary edition Beaulieu Trophy, with the runner up receiving a bottle of Beaulieu Bubbly.

For entrants arriving on the day in their Japanese vehicle and participating in the event, individual ticket prices are £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Simply Japanese is part of a growing calendar of Simply rallies which has rapidly expanded to include a wide variety of themes covering many makes and models.
